20-year-old Lapwai Man Killed in Head-on Crash

LEWSITON, Idaho (KLIX)-State police say a 20-year-old Lapwai man died in a head-on crash near Lewiston Saturday afternoon.

According to Idaho State Police, at a little before 4 p.m. Malique Higheagle was driving a 2013 Toyota Camry on U.S. Highway 12, about 15 miles east of Lewsiton, when he crossed the center line and hit a Dodge pickup head-on, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two people in the pickup, 38-year-old Justin Lycan and 37-year-old Ara Lycan, both of Kamiah, were taken to St. Joseph's Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. ISP said the highway was blocked for more than two hours.
