This holiday season, if you are looking for ways to give to those in need you have a great opportunity this weekend. The annual 60 Hours To Fight Hunger event is happening until November 23, 2019, at 10 p.m. Thanks to this event in previous years there have been thousands of turkeys and holiday meals donated and served to needy families in the Magic Valley. This year your turkey donations will help that number grow.

Donations of turkeys, canned goods, and money can be dropped off at KMVT in Twin Falls or Con Paulos in Jerome. There will also be a special drop-off location on Saturday at the Smith's in Twin Falls so you can buy a turkey and canned goods while you are there and not have to travel to donate them. The goal this year is to collect at least 2,000 turkeys along with trimmings. Last year there were 1,700 turkeys donated, according to KMVT.

As an added incentive to those who plan to donate - there will also be prizes given out which include hotel stay and food at Cactus Pete's and a big screen TV. You will also get that special feeling that only comes by knowing you have done something nice for someone else.
