A Korean War Impact on Idaho?

A thought crossed my mind today.  In the event of war with North Korea, the Northwestern United States could have a rough ride.

While it isn’t likely Twin Falls is targeted by Kim Jong un’s missiles (he may yet lack the range), a few nuclear detonations across the Pacific could drift radiation to North America.

Maybe an even bigger aspect is the potential halt in trade from the Pacific Rim.  Idaho has the nation’s fastest growing economy due to trade policies developed by Governor “Butch” Otter.  Even a brief conflict could scuttle trade for weeks to months and maybe even beyond.  There was a time when prepping for disaster was mocked, but if you’ve stored some necessities and maybe a spare pair of shoes you’ll be able to survive shortages and some price spikes.

Of course, if it’s an all-out Apocalypse you needn’t worry about the future.  Some Christians are even predicting the world ends Saturday.
