Crash Delays I-84 Traffic Monday Morning East of Twin Falls

Idaho State Police responded to a crash eastbound on Interstate 84 at milepost 181, east of Twin Falls around 8:15 a.m. Monday morning.

Police said 26-year-old Joy Wolters from Twin Falls was driving a Ford Fusion eastbound on the interstate. 60-year-old Rafael Martinez from Twin Falls was driving a Freightliner with one trailer eastbound when police said Wolters ran into the back of Martinez's semi.

Police say Wolters and Martinez were both wearing their seatbelts when the accident happened.

The crash caused both eastbound lanes to be blocked for about 15 minutes. After that, there was one-lane traffic eastbound for about an hour before the accident was cleared.
