I heard over the holiday weekend from a woman willing to stand up to the BLM.

The woman explained she has plenty of grouse roaming her land and added the trees provide shelter for deer and elk.

The Bureau of Land Management is proposing chopping down Idaho’s juniper trees.  The BLM’s argument is the trees interfere with breeding habits and lifestyles of Greater Sage Grouse.  The woman explained she has plenty of grouse roaming her land and added the trees provide shelter for deer and elk.  This morning I had a discussion with Randy Stapilus about the proposal.  Randy is the Publisher of Idaho Weekly Briefing.  Our conversation on the topic of the trees begins at the midpoint of the attached YouTube video.
