Idaho State Police say a Blackfoot school bus driver likely suffered a medical condition that caused her to lose control of the bus and hit a power pole. The ISP says 64-year-old Joann Jensen was pronounced dead at Bingham Memorial Hospital Monday afternoon. Officials say Jensen was driving a Teton Stage Lines bus with 34 students from Stalker Elementary School when she lost control of the bus at about 2 p.m. Blackfoot Superintendent Scott Crane says none of the students were injured. They were picked up by another bus and taken home. The school district is expected to have grief counselors available Tuesday to help the students cope with the accident and the loss of their school bus driver. Teton Stage owner Donavan Harrington says Jensen drove the same route for 13 years and was a dedicated employee.
