Elk Left to Waste, Domestic Cow Shot In Lemhi Valley
LEADORE, Idaho (KLIX)-The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is investigating the shooting of an elk and a domestic cow near the community of Leadore recently.
According to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, the cow elk was shot and left to waste on private property in hunting unit 29. Officials say a domestic cow had also been shot near were the elk had been shot and was later euthanized. Fish and Game law enforcement is seeking any witnesses that may have seen something near Purcell Lane and Big Eight Mile Road on the morning of November 27.
A reward is being offered by Citizens Against Poaching (CAP) for information in the case, people can call 1-800-632-5999 and remain anonymous. Fish and Game Salmon can be reached at 208-756-2271.
