A friend from Teton Valley drove to Lincoln, Nebraska.  His son attends university there and spring break is upon the landscape.  Driving home to Idaho, they passed a gas station.  My friend noted the price per gallon was 31 cents more in the evening than it had been at sunrise.

My sister was driving home from her teaching job in rural Western New York State.  She had to stop for a fill-up.  She paid more than five dollars a gallon.

In Some Parts of the Country, the Pumps are Empty

An old friend from Delaware shared a picture from a gas station in Rehoboth Beach.  The resort town where President Biden maintains a vacation residence.  The price for a gallon of unleaded regular was $3.99.9 on Friday.  In neighboring Millsboro, Delaware, the BJ’s wholesale club ran out of gas.  Desperate club members mobbed the pumps in an attempt to save 20 cents a gallon.  I lived in Millsboro before moving to Idaho.  It remains primarily a farming community.

I heard a fellow on television just a few minutes ago.  He said prices for diesel were up on average nationwide by almost 40 cents week to week.

One Twin Falls Gas Station Had a 28 Cent Hike

On Friday, we broke the four-dollar-a-gallon mark for unleaded regular across much of Idaho.  I noted it while driving home.

At least one person has recently told me she won’t be able to afford the commute to work if this continues for even a few weeks more.  A couple of days ago, Nancy Pelosi reiterated her support for blocking drilling on federal lands.

Climate change paranoia is a luxury for comfortable people.  I would remind you that liberals also pay the same as we do when it comes to energy consumption.  Welcome to the Republican Party!

Prestonburg, KY.

My friend, Steve Russo, sent this along from his neighborhood in Kentucky.  Up 28 cents alone on Friday.
