IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — An Idaho Falls man who was shot by police officers in June has been sentenced to jail for punching his girlfriend.

The Post Register reports that Magistrate Judge Mark Riddoch sentenced 31-year-old Ricky Mosley to local jail time on Monday. Mosely pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges and will serve 60 more days in Bonneville County Jail followed by two years of supervised probation. He will also have to complete treatment for domestic violence and substance abuse.

He was hospitalized for about three months after being shot by Bonneville County Sheriff's Office deputies and Idaho Falls Police officers in June. Police shot Mosley when he stepped out of his truck with his hands in a shooting stance, holding his phone like a pistol. He was hit five times.
