BOISE (News Release) – Investigators with the Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit have arrested a Kuna man for allegedly enticing a minor.

Idaho Attorney General Lawrence Wasden says Thomas Duane Sammons, 39, was arrested Thursday afternoon.

ICAC investigators focused on Sammons after the victim’s mother reported to the Kuna Police Department finding concerning texts on her daughter’s cell phone.

Sammons is being held in the Ada County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.

Wasden praised the cooperation of law enforcement officers from the Ada County Sheriff’s Office, the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office, the Kuna Police Department and the U.S. Marshal’s Service.

The Idaho Attorney General's ICAC Unit is a coalition of state and local law enforcement agencies that work with the ICAC Task Force to investigate and prosecute individuals who use the Internet to criminally exploit children.

(Editor's note: earlier version of press release wrongly identified the suspect)
