ISP Trooper Injured in Crash While Escorting Capital Christmas Tree
BOISE COUNTY, Idaho (KLIX) An Idaho State Trooper suffered minor injuries after her patrol car was hit by a pickup truck during an escort of the Capitol Christmas Tree during the weekend.
According to Idaho State Police, Trooper Brandalyn Crapo was flown by air ambulance to Boise after a Dodge truck, being driven by Michael Shields, 49, of Boise, crossed the centerline on Highway 55 at around noon on Sunday. Trooper Crapo was leading the official motorcade of the Capital Christmas Tree.
Trooper Crapo was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries. Shields was evaluated and treated at the scene. The Capital Christmas Tree was on it's way from McCall to Boise. The Boise County Sheriff's office is leading the investigation.
