Jerome Local Turns Heads And Chair On The Voice
If you have ever been to local concerts and events you have probably run into EllieMae Millenkamp. She is a young woman from Jerome with some serious pipes on her. Last night she was on the singing competition the Voice during blind auditions.
She has some serious skill. EllieMae went on the Voice and sang a country song "Merry Go Round", no doubt trying to get The Voice judge Blake Shelton. I watched last night and again this morning through a YouTube video and I have to say I got goosebumps.
About 45 seconds in Blake Shelton hits his button. Watching her family go crazy just filled me full of joy. The Voice coaches had nothing but positive things to say about her. Blake even said he knew he wanted to coach her. Blake knows she has potential to do great things. Plus, Blake wins, a lot.
I know this girl is going to go on to do some amazing things. You can follow her journey and she has a Facebook page as well. Let's give this local girl all the support we can!
Blind auditions are one of the most interesting things I have ever seen. I love that these judges are forced to listen only to the voice, not the look. Not that EllieMae has any issues with her look. I mean she is stunning.
We are so happy for her and her family. It looks like I am going to have to become an avid watcher of the Voice. She is going to be great and we should let her know we support her and her journey.
Go EllieMae!
