TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)  A Jerome man will spend more than two years behind bars on charges of possession of child pornography. Casey Gibson, 23, was sentenced last week in United States District Court to two and a half years in prison followed by five years on supervised release for having child pornography.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Gibson entered a guilty plea in August this year. According to court documents, a device at Gibson's home accessed a website in Russia that had child pornography. Investigators say an offer was made to trade images and in July of 2015 agents with the Department of Homeland Security and Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office made contact with Gibson.

Eventually investigators found Gibson used his e-mail to receive, distribute, and possess images of child pornography.  Gibson later admitted to agents to possessing various images of children in sex acts.
