RUPERT, Idaho (KLIX) – Police are searching for a man who shot a Rupert woman in the chest on Tuesday.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 40-year-old Ernesto Moroyoqui-Martinez, who also goes by the name Ramiro Mendoza-Lopez, for attempted second-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm. The bond has been set at $500,000.

The woman who was shot was taken to the hospital but has since been released.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous, according to the Minidoka County Sheriff's office. Do not approach the suspect.
