Man Who Ran From Magic Valley Law Enforcement Caught in Nevada
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) Nevada authorities have arrested a Magic Valley man who ran from police in late March.
According to the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office, Romero Trevino was arrested in Jackpot, Nevada, this morning while eating at a casino restaurant. The sheriff's office shared on its Facebook page that someone called in an anonymous tip that allowed Elko County Sheriff's Deputies to catch Trevino. He will be taken back to the Idaho Department of Corrections.
Authorities say Trevino sped away from police on March 25, he was wanted for an outstanding warrant for a probation violation. Trevino went through Filer before abandoning his car in Hollister and running on foot. Law enforcement used dogs to locate Trevino, but lost the trail. He was previously convicted of armed robbery.
