(KLIX)- Jerome County Sheriff and Idaho State Police discovered another marijuana grow site, this time not in a corn field but down in the Snake River Canyon. Jerome County Sheriff Doug McFall says after several months investigating detectives found a marijuana grow site down in the canyon Friday morning. The sheriff says it had to be several years old. A witness also reported seeing another grow down in the canyon. Deputies were able to find another grow from the canyon rim. They had to use a boat to get to the site which is at the very southwest corner of Jerome County. Sheriff McFall says they had to hike a ways to get to the grow. He says it had a sprinkler system and fencing to protect it from wild animals. They found 440 plants many of which were female seed bearing plants. Street value is estimated at around $2,000 per plant.
