TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) The Perrine Bridge will be getting a routine checkup next week that will impact drivers.

According to the Idaho Transportation Department inspection on the bridge is scheduled Monday through Wednesday , Sept. 12 to Sept. 14, that will force lane restrictions. Officials say traffic will be cut down to one northbound lane for Monday and Tuesday and one southbound lane for southbound traffic on Wednesday.

Every 24 months the 40 year old bridge is inspected for safety on it's structure, driving surface, steel superstructure, the concrete foundations, as well as other parts. Inspections are expected to take place anytime between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day. ITD asks drivers to use caution and watch for work crews.
