Police Make Arrest in Injury Hit and Run Crash in West Idaho

CALDWELL, Idaho (KLIX)-Idaho State Police say they've arrested a Caldwell man and charged him for a hit and run accident that happened just an hour into the new year.

In a statement released on Jan. 7, ISP arrested Israel Nunez on Jan. 6, after troopers were able to locate the car involved in the crash. Troopers responded to a report of a hit and run on Jan. 1, on State Highway 19 in Caldwell when two adults were walking across the highway when the car hit one of them and left.

The person hit had to be taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Nunez has been charged with felony leaving the scene of an injury crash.
