More than 2 million pounds of seasoned beef from Taco Bell has been recalled across the country. Apparently, the season beef may be contaminated with metal.

I think I am more surprised that Taco Bell uses beef, I thought it was a beef like substance. According to the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Services the bags of meat that may have been contaminated were shipped from the supplier to five different distribution centers which were then sent to restaurants across the US.

It appears that 100 percent of the product has been safely taken care of and it doesn't appear that anyone has been hurt or made sick. The unfortunate thing is it was brought to their attention after a customer called and complained that there was metal in their food.

Good for Taco Bell for getting all the contaminated beef out before anyone was seriously hurt or got ill. 2.3 million pounds of seasoned beef is a lot of food. I am still trying to figure out how metal shavings get into seasoned beef in the first place.

Does that mean that the giant skillet that cooks and seasons the beef doubles as a trash can? Or maybe the food processing plant doubles as an assembly line for a car manufacturing company? How does metal shavings get into food. No idea. Fortunately, you are safe to eat your Taco Bell tacos and burritos now that all the contaminated food has been disposed of. I am not sure it is still the best food choice regardless.
