Former Republican gubernatorial candidate Rex Rammell is scheduled to be arraigned next week on a misdemeanor battery charge in Idaho County after police say he confronted two men for trespassing on his property.  The Lewiston Tribune reports Rammell is accused of grabbing the throat of another man twice during the Sept. 8 confrontation with William Shira and his son, Than.  It was previously reported Rammell was being charged with a felony. Rammell told police Shira's son previously lived on his property but was asked to leave, according to court documents. Rammell told police he later spotted the two men on his property and they got into an argument. Rammell said he followed the men and was trying to place them under citizen's arrest when he was taken into custody.
