BOISE, Idaho (KLIX)-A Nampa man is behind bars suspected of drunk driving after rear ending another car on Interstate 84 in west Idaho.

Baunsong Saengthip, 39, of Nampa, was arrested Thursday morning at just after midnight when he hit another car in the rear on the interstate in Boise, according to Idaho State Police. Saengthip, was driving a 2004 Lexus R33 SUV and hit a 200 Mitsubishi Mirage driven by Debra Jones, 63, of Boise; both drivers lost control and came to rest in lanes of travel, blocking traffic for about an hour.

Jones and a passenger in the Lexus had to be taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center; driver had been wearing seat belts. Saengthip is facing a charge of driving under the influence.
