TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) The Twin Falls Sheriff's Office and the non-profit Crime Stoppers have teamed up to fight crime. The sheriff's office announced the partnership with the crime fighting organization on Monday. The collaboration will offer the county resources and tools to help solve crime. Crime Stoppers allows citizens to provide law enforcement tips on crimes anonymously and possibly get a reward. Ted Arnold, Crime Stoppers Coordinator in the Treasure Valley, says tips from the county will be handled directly out of Twin Falls. People with tips can call the Crime Stoppers number 208-343-COPS (2677) and 800-222-TIPS (8477) or download the app, Android or Apple, "P3 Tips" for a mobile device. The app will allow users to leave a tip without having to identify themselves; the app will give the person a tip number if the information leads to an arrest and possible reward. According to Crime Stoppers, they have solved more than half-a-million crimes worldwide.
