FILER, Idaho (KLIX) – A Filer woman was taken to the hospital today after a two-vehicle accident that happened a little before noon today on U.S. Highway 30. Idaho State Police investigated the crash that occurred at milepost 213.

According to an ISP news release issued this afternoon, 64-year-old Filer resident Cynthia Morgan was driving a Dodge Stratus westbound in the right lane when she decided to change to the left lane, hitting a Chevy Suburban driven by William Falconburg, 34, of Jerome, who was also traveling westbound.

Morgan then lost control of her vehicle and drove across the eastbound lanes, striking the guardrail and coming to a stop on the eastbound shoulder. Falconburg drove his vehicle onto the westbound shoulder.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts. Morgan was transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center, according to the news release. The right eastbound lane was blocked for about one hour by emergency crews working to clear the scene.
