The Wreckage of a 1952 Korean War-era airplane missing since Tuesday was located in the Sawtooth National Forest this afternoon. Civil Air Patrol pilots located the wreckage shortly before noon Wednesday as deputies struggled to reach the remote southern Idaho crash site by ground. Officials say two people were believed to be aboard the craft. The Idaho Transportation Department says the plane left Wendover at about four Tuesday afternoon and was expected in Idaho Falls by 5 p.m. KIFI-TV reports the plane was reported overdue by the owners of the restoration company that worked on the plane. UPDATE: The two people aboard the plane died in the crash. They were identified as 55 year old Danny Joe Summers, and Idaho pilot and farmer from the Rexburg area in eastern Idaho. The other victim was identified s 47 year old Jody Wyatt, also from the Rexburg area. A helicopter was used to retrieve the bodies from the crash site.
