The number of carry permits issued nationwide continues to skyrocket. As a percentage, almost 5 times as many women as men got new carry permits last year. Minorities are also arming themselves as a means of protection on some of America’s most dangerous streets. Black Americans, especially black women, are leading the surge in permits.
