(AP) Idaho has started accepting bids for a contract to provide every high school student and teacher with a laptop, or similar mobile computer. Suppliers have until May 25 to submit their pitches, according to a request for proposals issued by the state Division of Purchasing.

Survey Indicates Marijuana Use Up By Idaho Students

A recent survey seems to indicate that drug and marijuana usage among Idaho students may be trending upward  The 2011 Idaho Youth Risks Behavior Survey released this month by the Idaho State Dept. of Education indicates that 18.8-percent of Idaho’s high school students say they had used marijuana at least once within the last month.  That’s a five percent increase over 2009.  65 percent said they  had at least one drink of alcohol during their lifetime.
