Boil Water Order Issued for Bellevue
BELLEVUE, Idaho (KLIX)-The City of Bellevue has issued a boil water advisory after a break in the pipe system. The city said the break happened Wednesday afternoon at N. 6th and Ash streets that resulted in a drop in system water pressure below 20 psi. That could cause disease-causing organisms to get into the system from backflow and backpressure. No one should drink the city water unless it has been boiled first. "Bring all water to a boil. Let it boil for one minute and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water," write the city in a notice to residents. The City of Bellevue will notify people when boiling is no longer needed.
