Caldwell Lights Up Creek Side as Winter Wonderland
CALDWELL, Idaho (KLIX)-The city of Caldwell is ready to flip the switch and light the downtown area with more than one-million LED Christmas lights.
In a special ceremony Friday evening, the city will celebrate the 12th annual 'Winter Wonderland' light display along the Indian Creek Park that runs more than six blocks in the heart of Caldwell; the kickoff begins at 7:30 p.m. (Nov. 22).
The display started in 2007 with only 20,000 Christmas lights and has grown in the last several years to LED lights and many one-of-a-kind displays that depict fire breathing dragon, Santa fishing, a teddy bear carousel, and five new displays never seen before. The light display, with the city says is one of unique and cannot be found anywhere else, will be open nightly until January 12, 2020 and is free to the public.
