Deadly Head-on Crash Near Atomic City

ATOMIC CITY, Idaho (KLIX)-A Blackfoot woman died in a head-on crash Saturday in eastern Idaho.

According to Idaho State Police, the driver of a Toyota pickup, Brody Tripp, of Chubbuck, crossed the center line on U.S. Highway 26 near Atomic City at around 5 a.m. and hit a Ford Windstar van, driven by Sally Larsen, 44 who was killed. Tripp did not need to be transported to the hospital.

ISP said the highway had been blocked for about five hours before crews cleared the scene. Idaho National Laboratory Fire crews assisted with the crash.
