I’d Vote for Homer Simpson Over Mike Simpson
I couldn’t bring myself to vote for Mike Simpson.
Mike Simpson and I have no personal history. Frankly, I’m not swayed by people telling me he’s a RINO. I am swayed by his abandonment of Trump.
Two weeks ago, I was so incensed by his holier-than-thou attitude I ripped his bumper sticker off my car. I’m really impressed with Anthony Tomkins. Thursday, I voted early at County West. A straight Republican ticket but for the choice of Anthony. Additionally, I voted in favor of HJR 5. I was conflicted, but in the long run don’t believe non-elected bureaucrats should make laws. Call them regulations if you like, but we realize the semantic legerdemain. It’s no different than when a legislator explains there isn’t a tax hike because instead they raised fees. A dollar in my right pocket is the same as a dollar in my left pocket. No matter which pocket gets picked, I’m still short a dollar.
I voted for Trump. There were other good candidates on the ballot from the Constitution Party and unlike callers to my show I greatly respect McMullin, however. He won’t help stop Hillary and instead helps her cause. A story I saw today puts him at double digits in Idaho.
Endorsements are useless. I’ve never been swayed by any and I don’t expect you’ll be swayed by me. I just had to follow my conscience. Mike Simpson and I have no personal history. Frankly, I’m not swayed by people telling me he’s a RINO. I am swayed by his abandonment of Trump. Obviously, he prefers working with a socialist in the White House. I suspect this is his last term. If not then I believe I’ll primary the man in 2018.
