Idaho & the Convention of States

You’ll find many Republicans and Democrats fearing state constitutional conventions. 

Con-Cons as these are called can be used to push amendments to the U.S. Constitution.  Generally the changes are proposed in Washington but if 38 states individually ratify an amendment it can have the same weight.  A balanced budget amendment for the federal government is a longstanding dream of the American right but it also fears a “runaway convention” of states.  The result could be a rewriting of our most endearing rights.  Con-Con was our Top Story today.
