Is Idaho Prepared for a Deadly Fentanyl Epidemic?

Many of the drugs ravaging communities on the two coasts are somewhat latecomers to Idaho.

When they do finally arrive, it comes with a vengeance.  Methamphetamine and heroin are among the worst scourges in the Magic Valley and now the next epidemic could be worse.

The Washington Post is detailing the human cost of fentanyl as it sweeps across New Hampshire.  Much of the drug is coming from Mexico, but with origins in China.  It’s as if the old opium wars of the late 1800s are running in reverse.

Is Southern Idaho prepared?  The question may be redundant.  How can you prepare for a drug that some people crave because it flirts with death, and in many cases proves deadly?
