TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – Twin Falls County is searching for the next fair board member.

The county says it is looking to fill a board position with someone from the Buhl/Castleford area. That means the physical home address of the next board member must have a zip code of either 83321 or 83316.

Interested individuals may qualify if they have “a strong commitment to the community and a desire to further improve the Twin Falls County Fair,” according to information from the county.

Responsibilities include monthly meetings – except during fair week when meetings are held daily.

Interested? You have until Oct. 31 to apply. To do so, go to the Twin Falls County website for an application. If you don’t have a resume, create one – the county says it encourages applicants to submit their resumes with the application.

This year’s county fair celebrated 100 years and had the theme, “Blue Jeans and Family Dreams.”

Fair planners don’t get much of a break between the time when one fair ends and planning for the next begins. Planning for the next fair usually happens in the fall. According to the county fair’s website, 2020’s event is scheduled for Sept. 2-7.
