The Girl Wouldn’t be Pepper Sprayed if She Stayed Home

As a follow up to our discussion about opposition to Muslim refugees we spent a few minutes talking about opposition to illegal immigrants.  This is the issue that has carried Donald Trump for months and Trump opponents are getting mauled at rallies.  Or some claim.  Some have also been pepper-sprayed.  There is an old saying about the guy who wanted to avoid bar brawls.  The advice is don’t go to bars.  Why would you allow your daughter to go to a rally where she isn’t welcome and then allow her to argue with Trumpistas???  Am I missing something here?  Yes, pepper spraying a teenager is wrong but if I went to a Sanders rally or Black Lives Matter gathering and started screaming in people’s faces I might get thumped.  Would you recommend I start disrupting the action?  Our discussion follows below with the attached YouTube video:
